Made it to the airport by about 845 PM on Wed - the flight was REALLY oversold so it was somewhat comical watching everyone get on, with their 837 pieces of carryon luggage. Really was a bit ridiculous, but that's to be expected.
The flight was uneventful and we landed in Atlanta about 15 minutes early at gate A31. The gate for our connection wasn't posted yet so we went down to the center area and grabbed some breakfast at Chik-fil-A. We got an update where our flight was going to depart from.....you guessed it! A31! Seriously, we never get this lucky when we've only got 50 minutes, but of course when you've got over 2 hours it's inevitable. Here's our gate (inbound and outbound!)
I fell asleep on the plan from Atlanta to West Palm Beach, and got a nice crick in my neck! Our friends Pam and Michael picked us up and we all ran some errands on the way back to their house - Costco, the mall, CVS - the usual places, on our way to lunch at Guanabanas and I had an excellent chicken taco with my A1A lemonade. I'd recommend it if you are ever in the area.
Was thinking about taking a nap, but after a shower I was much more awake so Pam and I headed out to Publix and a few other places to run some more errands (diet Tonic, Christmas lights, it was quite an adventure) We stopped at Wal-Mart and I saw this.....seriously cracked me up.
Yes, that is a christmas tree sticking out of the back window.....I would've loved to have seen them driving down the road!
After our errands, I practiced my stick-shift driving skills on their Mazda convertible (so fun!) on the way home - then we had some dinner and socialized until we could barely keep our eyes open (like 930pm....) then we headed for bed! Tomorrow we head for the ship!
